The Cuban Foreign Ministry on Tuesday expressed the government's intolerance regarding human trafficking, an international crime against humanity and a human rights violation.

Cuba maintains its zero tolerance policy regarding any form of human trafficking, the Foreign Ministry said in a message on its X profile.

We continue to implement the National Action Plan, which is fundamental in the joint action by the State and civil society to prevent, confront and protect the victims of this crime, the text added.

Every July 30 since 2014 marks the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013.

This year, the commemoration focuses on raising awareness about the causes and vulnerabilities associated with child trafficking, and emphasizes the need to support child victims of this problem.
