Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced Israel’s actions to block the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
On his X account, the Cuban government official also blasted the recent announcement about cutting electricity to the Gaza Strip. He said that these are actions part of the declared genocide against the noble people of Palestine.
On Sunday, March 9th, Israel’s Energy Minister Eli Cohen ordered the immediate cut off of the power service maintained by the Israeli Electric Corporation (IEC) to the Gaza Strip.
International organizations, including the UN, have alerted about the collapse of basic services in the Palestine territory, a situation now worsened with the blockade of the supply of food, medicines and fuels.
Cuba, a historic allied of the Palestinian cause, has reiterated its demand at international forums for a permanent ceasefire and unrestricted access to humanitarian assistance. Cuba’s stance is in tune with the warnings by the International Justice Court about the real risk of genocide in Gaza.
