Havana, March 18 (RHC)—Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, regretted the passing of Tanzanian President John Magufuli.

"Our condolences to the people and government of Tanzania, and to family and friends, on the death of President John Pombe Magufuli.", he wrote on Twitter.

The Tanzanian leader died on Wednesday from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam, vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan said in an address on state television.

She said there would be 14 days of national mourning and flags would fly at half-mast.
