Havana, Jun 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla regarded the travel regulations and family remittances announced on Wednesday by the US government confirm the overly limited nature of such a step.

Mr. Parrilla pointed out the economic US blockade against the Cuban people and the most aggressive aspects of over 200 measures taken by former President Donald Trump still remain in force.

On Tuesday, the Joe Biden administration modified its regulations on trips and family remittance sending to Cuba. These measures were announced on May 16.

From now on, educational trips to Cuba will be allowed, but under certain conditions. Individual and person-to-person trips, as well as tourist visits will continue to be banned.

As to family remittances, the $1,000 limit every three months for Cuban relatives and citizens was lifted, but transaction mechanisms are still not specified.

Among the new package of measures announced by Joe Biden was to restore the family reunification program, to increase of consular services at the US embassy in Havana, as well as visas process.
