Cuba congratulates Pope Francis on 10-year anniversary

Havana, Mar 13 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX) on Monday congratulated Pope Francis on his 10-year anniversary.

“Cuba reiterates its willingness to continue progressing relations with the Holy See,” MINREX posted on Twitter.

Asked what he would like as a gift for his 10-year anniversary, for which he had no public plans beyond a mass with cardinals, Francis added: “Peace. We need peace.”

Through a podcast released Monday, the Supreme Pontiff expressed his thoughts ‘that renew the thread of an intense ecclesiastical period’, which, he said, was lived ‘in tension’, in ‘a time larger than space, and that has seen alternating meetings, trips, faces’.
