Cuban Deputy foreign Minister Anayansi Rodríguez, has condemned the international silence regarding the Israeli’s ongoing crimes against Palestinian People.
“This international silence indicates the complicity of states and powers, led by the US with the practices of the Israeli occupation and its criminal acts” Rodríguez said.
In press statements to Cuban and foreign media accredited in Havana, Rodriguez denounced Washington’s obstruction of the UN Security Council carrying out its duties as an international organization responsible for maintaining international peace and security, through its use of its veto against any resolution to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
She considered that the Council thus demonstrated that it was undemocratic.
Rodríguez confirmed that Cuba would participate in the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague to be held between 19 and 26 February, on the case of genocide and Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people.
The Cuban official pointed out that the ICJ would be called upon to contribute its decisions to achieving international justice and peace, stressing the need to declare (Israel) and its accomplices under current international law responsible for the genocide of the Palestinian people for decades.
