Cuba, Bulgaria celebrate establishment of diplomatic relations

The Cuban government reaffirmed its willingness to strengthen diplomatic relations with the Republic of Bulgaria, on the occasion of today's commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of establishing political ties between the two nations.
Both countries formalized their diplomatic relations on October 14, 1960, and since then have strengthened friendship and collaboration ties between their governments and peoples.
Past May, the Cuban Ambassador to Bulgaria Marieta Garcia was received at the embassy in Sofia by the Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov.
According to Cubaminrex, in that meeting both parties praised the historic friendship, cooperation ties and exchange that have united their governments and peoples during more than 60 years of diplomatic relations.
The Bulgarian embassy in Havana has expressed its interest of Bulgarian businessmen to maintain and establish commercial ties with Cuba, as well as to participate in the development of its food, agricultural, light, mechanical, mining and tourism industries.
