Cuba to attend 1st Sea and Beach Games in Colombia

Cuba will be represented by 14 athletes at the 1st Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games, to be held in Santa Marta, Colombia, Nov. 19-26.

In a meeting with the press at the coliseum of the Ciudad Deportiva, Oscar Nuevo Reyes, director of the technical-methodological department of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation ( INDER by its Spanish acronym), said that the Cuban delegation will compete in only three of the sports categories, namely open water, sailing and beach volleyball.

Cuban representatives will participate in seven events, a competition that will give tickets to the 1st World Games of that kind to be held in August 2023, he added.

Ten sports have been convened for the event and athletes from 26 countries will participate.
