Cuba: ANPP celebrates 61st anniversary of literacy campaign

Havana, Dec 22 (Prensa Latina) The National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) on Thursday congratulated Cuban teachers for the 61st anniversary of the literacy campaign.
On Twitter, the ANPP heaped praise on professors´ pivotal role in society and also the impact of illiteracy eradication in Cuba during the early years of the Cuban Revolution.
Congratulations, Cuban teachers! All our recognition goes to your paramount role and daily devotion to training and educating our people, guided by the example of those deeply involved in the historic Literacy Campaign, ANPP´s President Esteban Lazo tweeted.
Education Minister Ena Elsa Velazquez also sent a congratulation letter to education workers, stating Cuba really needs an inclusive and quality education for all, which entails to seek new teaching options and to promote learning openings.
