Cuba to Analyze Government Program to Revitalize the Economy

An official notification states that the Government Program aimed at correcting distortions and reinvigorating Cuba's economy will be analyzed by the people.

The text specifies that the evaluation of the Program will take place from November 15 to December 30 in the "base organizations of the Communist Party, the Young Communist League, the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba trade union, the National Association of Small Farmers, and the University Student Federation."

Published by the newspaper Granma, it adds that, in the case of the Federation of Cuban Women and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, the analysis will occur in their "intermediate leadership structures and in the meeting of the Secretariat with base-level leaders at the block and zone level."

"It will also be conducted in the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power and in the management councils of entities under national, provincial, and municipal subordination," the note points out.

Furthermore, it emphasizes that the analysis of the Program "responds to the political will" to submit it "to debate and collective construction, as an expression of participatory democracy and direct popular involvement in the development of the economy."

It assures that this will be a conducive space for participants to submit proposals with the goal of strengthening the Program and identifying how to contribute to its implementation.

Likewise, the note indicates, it will ensure that "every governing body, base organization, member, and Cuban citizen, wherever they work, is in a better position to contribute to the search for solutions in order to reverse the country's situation."
