Cuba with 155 new Covid-19 cases and decrease in confirmed cases

Havana, May 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 155 new Covid-19 cases in an epidemiological scenario marked by the decrease of those confirmed in the month of April, the national director of epidemiology, Francisco Durán, said.
In a televised press conference, the expert detailed that during the last seven days, 1,400 people were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus which causes this disease, and two patients died with complications associated to this disease.
With these data, the Caribbean country accumulates 1,103,286 infected and 8,527 deaths since 2020, the expert indicated.
He pointed out that pediatric cases have also decreased in the last five weeks, with 548 reported in the last five weeks, for an average of 78 per day.
Durán specified that the provinces with the highest transmission in recent days were Camagüey, Havana, Ciego de Avila, Villa Clara and Pinar del Río.
