With the confirmation of 50 new positive cases for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, causing COVID-19, the number of infected in Cuba rises to 1.285, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today.

 

  • 807 out of those 1.285 patients present stable clinical evolution, there have been 49 deaths, two evacuees and 416 discharges; seven are in critical condition and four are seriously ill, states the MINSAP daily report.

 

  • It also says that 3.393 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, while other 6.727 persons are monitored at home, from the Primary Health Care System.

 

  • 1.891 cases were studied yesterday, resulting in 50 positive samples. The country accumulates 36.134 samples carried out resulting in 1.285 positive.

 

  • The 50 new confirmed cases were Cubans; 21 belong to the female gender (42%) and 29 to the male gender (58%). 72% (36) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

 

  • As of yesterday, Havana with 30 and Cienfuegos with 4 confirmed cases were the provinces with higher number of Covid-19 patients testing positive.
