Beijing, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) China will simplify the visa process for foreigners who plan to travel to its territory via Hong Kong and were inoculated with any of the vaccines produced here against Covid-19, local press reported on Sunday.
According to the Global Times newspaper, from Monday the government will give chance only to those who deliver a certificate proving that they received the proper doses of the selected immunizer, either from Sinovac, Sinopharm or CanSino.
Beneficiaries will not have to submit negative Covid-19 test results or a summary of recent trips.
Since last year, China's consulates have asked for both requirements in visa applications, along with the rest of the previously established documentation.
This measure will take effect just a week after Beijing began granting its citizens so-called immune passports, which have data on Covid-19 vaccines and tests, and are part of the plan to resume travel abroad amid the pandemic.
