China and Cuba ratify the commitment to the construction of socialism

The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, and the director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Liu Jianchao, reaffirmed today in this capital the strong determination of both countries in the construction of socialism.

Liu expressed support to the Caribbean nation in confronting the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States and against unilateral sanctions.

He also praised Cuba’s unwavering character in safeguarding its national interests.

He also showed confidence in the country’s ability to overcome obstacles and achieve new victories in the construction of socialism.

For his part, the also member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and special envoy of the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed the special priority towards ties with the Asian giant and the (CCP).

Rodríguez stressed the importance of historical ties based on the closest unity around the two parties, expressed Cuban support for the principle of one China and opposition to interference in its internal affairs.

Both parties recognized the strong consensus and political trust between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries. As well as the will to strengthen partisan exchanges and promote greater development through the deployment of bilateral cooperation to all sectors.
