BRICS Motor Rally Brings Together Representatives from 20 Countries

Representatives from 20 countries traveled 1,600 kilometers along highways to personally assess the nation's commercial, industrial, and cultural potential.

The motor rally was inaugurated by young people, with a caravan of 50 cars departing from Yekaterinburg. In Kazan, the relay was taken up by business and industry leaders, who were presented with cooperation prospects in Nizhny Novgorod and the Vladimir region. These regions are now actively exporting local products to BRICS countries.

Vladimir Balakin, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship for the Nizhny Novgorod region, highlighted the growing interest in non-commodity exports.

“In conversations with colleagues participating in the motor rally, we also see great potential in supplying food and agricultural products, primarily to India, China, and African countries,” he stated.

Participants paid special attention to developing industrial cooperation. In Suzdal, a key stop on the route, guests visited enterprises focused on high value-added production. This was explained by Denis Sinyavsky, Minister of Economic Development and Industry for the Vladimir region.

“We would consider options for attracting international partners in traditional sectors, which in the Vladimir region are focused on processing. Almost all of our exports are non-commodity, meaning we do not export basic components, but finished products,” he declared.

The motor rally was conceived as a practical initiative to strengthen humanitarian and business ties within the BRICS+ format. The route along the M-12 "Vostok" highway was not chosen at random, as it connects important industrial and cultural centers of Russia.

As Pavel Knyazev, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Russia's BRICS Sous-Sherpa, emphasized, this type of contact strengthens cooperation and friendship between countries, allowing for a better understanding and showcasing of Russia's potential.
