Santa Cruz de la Sierra hosted this week the 3rd Round of Migratory and Consular Talks Bolivia-Cuba, which aims to foster dialogue to promote actions for the benefit of their communities abroad.

A joint statement stated that during the meeting the delegations ratified the commitment to promote safe and dignified migration, which helps to guarantee integration and protection of the rights of migrants.

They also recognized the need to address the multidimensional challenges of forced migration from a humanitarian and cooperative perspective.

Finally, both authorities emphasized the willingness to maintain and strengthen these bilateral mechanisms.

The Bolivian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Consular and Institutional Management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eva Chuquimia, and the Cuban delegation was headed by the Director General of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Living Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Soberón.
