Being authentic is being vulgar?
especiales
The key to being natural is simple: play no tricks, reject vulgarity and bad manners.
In recent times, however, either in television programs or videos posted on social networks, we can see interviewees, youtubers, or individuals who, without being one or the other, they just want to communicate something, with certain manners…aiming at being just “natural, common,” but, are they?
Where is it written that communicating with a gaudy language and even using curse words makes you more natural, nicer, or popular?
It is evident these people behave this way to win the sympathy with the one on the other side of the television screen and hence communicate with the same code.
Nonetheless, something is wrong. If they actually achieve their goals like this, then vulgarity is becoming generalized, the lack of originality in oral expression, and what is usual, what is common, is not always what is natural. Otherwise, there would be many communicators wrong, those convinced that, as a trend, we behave that way.
If popular Cubans are the ones who express themselves in a rude manner, uneducated, then several things must be revised; for instance, idiosyncrasy, family, and school education. Language and general forms of expressions are in line with our way of thinking and what we are.
