Beaches at the forefront among Cuba’s tourist destinations

Beaches are the main attraction for those who travel to the Cuban destination called Jardines del Rey (King's Gardens), according to tourist guides.

According to experts from the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), this place stands out for its beaches, which have a very particular charm and intimacy.

Those scenarios are the main natural resource of the northern keys of Cuba’s central region, where they have very peculiar characteristics and unique native formations.

Precisely those located in the Jardines del Rey tourist destination, north of Ciego de Avila, are known for their excellent quality and crystal-clear waters that allow visitors to observe the impressive sea bottoms.

They are also identified by their very fine sands of coral origin, few underwater slopes and gentle currents, qualities that place them in the preference of tourists visiting the area.

Protected by the second largest coral reef in the continent, the 38 kilometers of beaches of the Coco, Guillermo and Paredon Grande keys have abundant fish, making them an important spot for diving and nautical attractions.

Pilar, ranked among the most beautiful beaches in Cuba, is surrounded by a very virgin paradisiacal environment and guarded by huge sand dunes, the largest in the insular Caribbean, with about 15 meters high, say the sources.
