A 33-member delegation representing Medicuba España arrived in Cuba to conduct volunteer work over a 10-day period, according to sources close to the group.

The brigade will remain in Santiago de Cuba until August 6, focusing on repair and painting projects at educational facilities in the eastern province. Their efforts aim to address infrastructure challenges exacerbated by the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial embargo against the island, as reported by Cubainformación.

The team transported 66 packages containing medical, educational, and sports supplies—separate from personal luggage—donated by supportive organizations and individuals.

"These materials seek to alleviate shortages caused by the unjust U.S. blockade, which for over six decades has restricted Cuba's access to essential resources and seen 250 additional sanctions imposed in the past seven years," the source noted.

Brigade members emphasized the humanitarian nature of their mission prior to departure, reaffirming their commitment to Cuban sovereignty. "Our work represents one small contribution against the blockade's hostility, but more importantly, it demonstrates that Cuba is not alone," they stated.
