Art pays tribute to Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution (+Photo)

Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 29 (Prensa Latina) The 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution is currently being celebrated through art in this eastern Cuban province.

The leader of the socialist process, Fidel Castro, was the main theme on Wednesday at an artistic gala held at the Teatro Principal here.

The work and legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution was recalled by dozens of people, who watched a photo exhibition on the stage.

Through culture, for which the revolutionary leader did so much, Camagüey residents are paying tribute to an immense human work that began more than six decades ago.

During the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Ballet of Camagüey, its director, Regina Balaguer, said that “it is an honor for us that precisely December 1, the date of our foundation, was the day that Fidel’s remains rested in our city for the last time, that sad year of 2016.”
