Buenos Aires, May 30 (Prensa Latina) Argentines and Cubans expect to visit the Law School at the University of Buenos Aires on Tuesday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the visit of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016).

On May 25, 2003, the then head of the Cuban State participated in the inauguration of former President Néstor Kirchner (1950-2010), and he delivered a speech on May 26 before a crowd gathered at the steps of that higher education center.

On that occasion, the Commander-in-Chief stood out the victory of the Argentine people over neo-liberalism and the example of guerrilla fighter Ernesto Guevara (1928-1967), whom he considered one of the noblest, most extraordinary, and selfless men.

Fidel also expressed his gratitude for the presence of thousands of people at the law faculty; and sent a message to “those who dream of bombing our homeland (….), of destroying the people that were the bearer of the Revolution and was capable of resisting more than 40 years of blockades, aggressions, and threats.”

At first, he was supposed to participate in a meeting with students, university authorities, and members of human rights organizations at the Main Lecture hall of that educational institution; many people began to gather around the site, and the Cuban leader decided to speak to them.

One day I said that we could not and would never carry out pre-emptive and surprise attacks on some obscure place of the world; however, our country sent the doctors needed. Doctors and not bombs, Fidel said at the time.
