Argentina’s Vice President scheduled for surgery

Buenos Aires, Nov 4 (Prensa Latina) Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernandez was admitted today to the Otamendi Sanatorium in the capital to undergo a scheduled hysterectomy, local media announced.

The vice-president arrived this morning around 6:45 local time to get a surgery which consists of removing the uterus and sometimes also the ovaries and fallopian tubes ; her recovery may last from 48 hours to five days, according to media outlets such as Télam and Página 12.

In the social networks, political personalities and followers of the former president sent her encouragement with the hashtag #FuerzaCristina, which has become a trend on Twitter.
