ANAIC pays tribute to Camilo Cienfuegos

Rome, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship (ANAIC) on Friday paid tribute to commander of the Revolution Camilo Cienfuegos, laying a wreath on the Tiber River, 63 years after death.

Marco Papacci, ANAIC President, said that in addition to this act, in which flowers were thrown into the water -as a tradition, ANAIC issued a statement for this historic date on its official website, disseminated on social media.

The Italian solidarity organization also published 59 pictures recalling the Cuban hero, one of the most outstanding fighters in the last war for the liberation of Cuba. These pictures depict Camilo´s glorious works, for which he was baptized as “Lord of the Vanguard” and “Hero of Yaguajay”.
