At a press conference held this Wednesday, Ernesto Soberón, general director of Consular Affairs and Cubans Resident Abroad of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, announced that since February 15th that website has enabled an interface that collects the opinions of compatriots who reside abroad on the 24th version of the code.

The popular consultation of the New Family Code Project began on February 1st in neighborhoods and communities of Cuba.

More than 900,000 people must participate in its organization and for the collection of all opinions expressed by the population, there will be the support of programs made by the University of Informatics Sciences.

The culmination of the process of delivering the proposals to the National Assembly of People's Power for their processing and consolidation is expected for May, and before that two informative reports will be done.
