ALBA-TCP to hold the 20th Political Council and the 10th Economic Council

The 20th Political Council and the 10th Economic Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples´ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP, by its Spanish initials) will be held on 29 June. The joint meeting is the result of an agreement adopted during the High-Level Conference on Economy, Finance and Trade in the Framework of COVID-19, held on 10 June 2020.

The meeting, to be held next Monday, mainly aims at coordinating actions from the Alliance to alleviate the economic and social effects of the pandemic. On that basis, both ministerial councils will address the proposals made during said Conference by the countries of ALBA and special guests, in order to assess the implementation of initiatives.
