2023 Cuban Wrestling Gala to be held on December 8

On December 8, Havana will host the Cuban wrestling gala “Pedro Val In Memoriam”, which will include exhibition matches and celebrate the country’s best athletes of 2023, according to national commissioner Martin Torres.

The program is likely to feature Greco-Roman wrestlers like Luis Orta (67 kg) and Gabriel Rosillo (97 kg)—winners at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade last year—as well as Oscar Pino (130 kg), third in that tournament.

As happens every year, Cuban sports authorities will recognize the best wrestlers, coaches and referees for their results in 2023.
