2021 Meteorology Convention gets underway

Havana, December 6 (RHC) -- The 2021 Meteorology Convention gets underway in Havana Monday.

The Meteorological Society of Cuba (SometCuba) is hosting the event on its  30th Anniversary to be held on January 28, 2022.

The Convention, to be held through Friday in person and virtually at the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel, gathers researchers, professionals, officials, teachers, students, meteorology lovers, and those who have to do with contingency plans in the presence of extreme weather events.

According to the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, the National Meteorology Prize will be awarded during the event.
