Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter film series, said Tuesday Hollywood was racist and sexist, during an interview with BBC.

Radcliffe also said it was hard for gay actors to talk about their sexual orientation and most feared they would be type-casted to play only gay roles.
The British actor said it is "pretty undeniable" that Hollywood is racist.
"I think there's lots of things about the Oscars, there's lots of amazing performances every year that don't get recognized. I feel like there's a lot that's unseen about the process."
Radcliffe has starred as J.K. Rowling's child wizard in the Harry Potter films since 2001.
“I mean it's pretty undeniable, that's the thing, we like to think of ourselves as being a very progressive industry but we have been lagging behind in all kinds of areas and it's been very well documented."
Last year’s Academy Awards ceremony was heavily criticized for the lack of people of color nominees and winners.
