Gente de Zona, Among the Nominees for the First Latin American Music

The artists were nominated in two categories: Best Urban Duo or Group and Best Tropical Song for their single La Gozadera, featuring Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony.

Randy Malcom, one member of the duo, expressed his excitement with the news and stated that 2015 has been a very good year for Gente de Zona.

The song La Gozadera has led the charts in several countries, such as Spain, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Honduras.

In 2014 the duo was also at the top of their popularity in the world with the song Bailando, in this case featuring Cuban singer-songwriter Descemer Bueno.

Founded in 2000 by Alexander Delgado, Cuban duo combines traditional rhythms of Cuban music with reggaeton and merengue.
