London’s fortress will host some of the stars of the fantasy show, which is based on the epic series of novels, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” written by U.S. author George R.R. Martin, who has a following of millions of fans around the world.

This is the first time for “Games of Thrones” to be premiered outside of the United States, where the first four seasons were released, bestowing the honor this time to Europe to premier the fifth season of the epic saga, as the events of the new episodes were filmed in several European countries such as Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Spain.

The premier, which will take place on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. GMT, is expected to be attended by several actors starring in the series, such as Natalie Dormer, who plays the character of Margaery Tyrell, Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Mark Gatiss (Tycho Nestoris) and Aidan Gillen (Petyr Baelish).

Zai Bennett, the director of Sky Atlantic which broadcasts the show, said “Game of Thrones is the must see show of the year and a massive show for Sky Atlantic so I am delighted we will be hosting the world premiere for this epic show at the Tower of London.”

“I can’t think of a more fitting venue to give what promises to be another unmissable series its big launch,” Zai added.

The anticipated fifth season of “Game of Thrones” will be air in the United States on April 12.
