Argentinean musician Gerardo di Giusto will perform on Saturday in Cuba along with Camerata Romeu, as part of the celebrations on the 25th anniversary of this female strings orchestra.
The concert, to take place at the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi Convent, is also the orchestra's last performance of the orchestra on year's end festivities.
According to Zenaida Romeu, director and founder of Camerata Romeu, the show includes songs from their latest album 'Habaneras', performed in conjunction with the pianist Di Giusto.
According to specialized critics, the album, produced by the French recording label Manana Music, has 'Latin American soul, Italian melody and French refinement.'
The Argentinean-Italian musician Di Giusto studied and developed his professional life in France, linked not only to the classical universe, but also to the world of jazz and world music. He has worked with prestigious artists such as Julien Loureau, Mercedes Sosa, Amelita Baltar, Javier Girotto, Minino Garay, Carlos Buschini, Aska Kanek and Tomohiro Yahiro.
Camerata Romeu, considered a unique group due to its repertoire and stage presence, was founded in 1993 with the aim of promoting the values of Latin American music.
