Papua New Guinea''s Prime Minister, Peter O''Neill, begins an official visit to Cuba today, during which he will meet with President, Raul Castro.

O'Neill leads the National People's Congress Party and has been the head of the Papuan government since August 2011.

Papua New Guinea is an Oceania country that occupies the eastern half of New Guinea island. It is territorially organized in 22 provinces and Port Moresby is the capital.

It has an area of about 462,800 square kilometers and has about seven and a half million inhabitants.
