Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade, Investment on visit to Algeria from Sunday

Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Redrigo Malmierca Diaz will pay a working visit to Algeria from 8 to 10 May, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a communiqué on Thursday.
The Cuban minister will be accompanied by a large delegation.
During his visit, Diaz will co-chair with Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf the 20th session of the Algerian-Cuban Joint Commission on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, said the statement.
It will be an opportunity for the delegations of the two countries to "assess the implementation of the recommendations and cooperation projects approved during the previous session, held in Havana in December 2014, as well as the prospects for the development of the Algerian-Cuban cooperation in all areas," added the statement.
The works of the session will be crowned by the signing of a minutes, said the statement.
"New agreements and cooperation programmes in different sectors will be also examined and finalized during the Cuban minister's visit," added the statement.
"Regional and international issues of common interest will be at the centre of discussions, which will be held by the Cuban minister with top Algerian officials," concluded the statement.
