Angola: Cuban Food Industry Minister Talks With Angolan Fisheries Minister

The Cuban Food Industry minister, Maria Concepción Gonzalez, held a meeting on Friday, in Luanda, with the Angolan Fisheries minister, Victória de Barro Neto, in which was discussed the agenda for a work session scheduled for 09 February.
Speaking to the press, Maria Concepción Gonzalez said that she concerted with the Angolan minister matters relating to the need to reinforce the co-operation between both countries in the Fisheries sector, with highlight on the areas of research, production, development of aquiculture and technical assistance.
She further stressed that Angola and Cuba have common goals in areas like fight against hunger and poverty, with a view to moving towards food security.
While in Luanda, the Cuban delegation is to visit the Coppelia ice-cream factory, the Kilamba housing project (Kilamba town), the Dr. Agostinho Neto Mausoleum, the Fishing Research Institute and the Regional Centre for Fishing Inspection.
Maria Concepción Gonzalez is also expected to travel to the south-western Namibe Province, on 01 February, as well as to the northern Cuanza Norte Province on 03 February.
