New gestures of solidarity with the Cuban Five encouraged a meeting here today that closed the program of the visit by Cuban Fighter against Terrorism, Antonio Guerrero, to Vietnam, where he talked with new and old friends. Details of their release and return to Havana, among others, were included in Guerrero´s explanation to the diplomatic mission staff of the island, collaborators, Cuban residents and Vietnamese workers of that embassy.
The Hero of the Republic of Cuba described as indescribable the hospitality and affection that he was object in this nation, where he met with colleagues from his years as a student in the former Soviet Union.
One of them, Nguyen Phu Hai, was that night at the Cuban embassy to say goodbye to his brother, as both are considered.
Guerrero attended in this capital the Seventh Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, in which he thanked the 220 delegates from friendship associations in the region for the support also to his colleagues, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Rene Gonzalez, and Fernando Gonzalez, all of them suffered unjustly imprisoned in the United States, for monitoring terrorist actions that were forged there against the Caribbean country.
In this spontaneous dialogue at the embassy of the Caribbean country, the president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Kenia Serrano, referred to the privilege the presence of Guerrero represented in the mentioned regional meeting, whose holding marked the beginning of a new era of work focused on the battle against the blockade imposed to the island more than 50 years ago, she explained.
