Works at the José Marti Revolution Square in Havana for the Mass that Pope Francis will officiate there during his visit to Cuba on September 19-22 are being performed on schedule, said Luis Perez, head of the brigade in charge of this task.
In statements to ACN, Perez, also deputy director of the Metal Productions Company (EPROMAP), asserted that in the first days of September all works will be finished.
Among works we find the Papal platform, two press boxes, a platform for the choir and orchestra's performances at the ceremony, and the premises of the sacristy where the Supreme Pontiff will prepare for the Mass.
The Empresa de Propaganda Grafica of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party of Cuba is responsible for the preparation of the three giant posters allegorical to the Pope's visit, which will be placed in the vicinity of the Jose Marti National Library and the National Theater.
