Raúl Receives Cardinal Beniamino Stella

President Raúl Castro Ruz received Cardinal Beniamino Stella, the Vatican's prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy, who is visiting the Cuban Catholic Church.

During the cordial meeting, topics of mutual interest were discussed, in particular the upcoming visit of Pope Francis to the country.

The distinguished guest was accompanied by Monsignor Vecéslav Tumir, business attaché for the Apostolic Nunciature in Havana. Also participating on the Cuban side were Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, minister of Foreign Relations, and Caridad Diego Bello, head of the Communist Party of Cuba's Central Committee Religious Affairs Office.
