Exercise Meteoro 2014 successfully concluded

Before the supposed appearance of a spilling of hydrocarbon in an oil well in Matanzas province, specialized brigades will offset the possible environmental impact at the seashore.

The simulation took place at the Oil's Drilling and Extraction Company (EPEP- C) and  was verified by the Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez.

The also member of the Politburo and Vice president of the State Council and the Council of Ministers, appreciated the quality of the actions accomplished together with the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, general of the army Leopoldo Cintra Frías;major general Ramón Pardo Guerra, Civil defense's National General Chief of Staff. Also major general Raúl Rodríguez Lobaina, Central Army's  Central's Chief as well as other senior officers.

The exercise allowed to confirm the capability of the  oil collecting centers to confront any suchlike event.  They already have the National Environmental Recognition due to the protection measures in favor of the environment.
