Visitors Record in Cuban Tourist Destination Jardines del Rey

A record in the tourists''visits was obtained in February in the Cuban Jardines del Rey on having received in one day more than 9,000 visitors coming from different nations of the world, according to informations. Luís Báez, marketing manager of the Department of the Tourism in Ciego de Avila, located approximately to 430 kilometers to the east of Havana, pointed out to Prensa Latina, that it is the first time in more than 20 years of founded that the tourist region receives this high amount.

He specified that Canada continues being the first issuing market, with more than 90 per cent of the air operations, followed by the national tourism in Cuba that has maintained its presence during the whole year.

Also continues the tourists' arrival from Argentina, the United Kingdom, Italy and in 2014 for the first time were received vacationers from Portugal during the summer months, said Báez.

Jardines del Rey, with Cayo Coco and Guillermo, in the north coast of the central region of Cuba, will be the head office from next May 5 until May 7 of 35 International Fair of Tourism FIT-Cuba 2015.

Fit-Cuba 2015 will be dedicated to the nautical product that is why is taking place an integral reshaping of Cay Guillermo and the Marina Marlin, they are building an aquatic funicular park and other facilities related to this recreational option.
