Cuban Solidarity to Africa Praised

An international organization recognized Cuba for its solidarity in Africa and around the world.
In a press release published Sunday, Secretary General of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni praised Cuba’s continued support to African nations in a range of areas.
Mumuni emphasized Cuba’s historic role in solidarity in the fight for independence of various African countries as well as Cuba’s collaboration not only sending highly qualified human resources but also for training several generations of professionals.
Mumuni celebrated Cuba’s role in spearheading the fight against the Ebola epidemic. In addition Mumuni emphasized ACP’s upmost admiration and respect for Cuba as a high profile country member.
Mumuni also made statements during a gathering held with Cuban Ambassador to the European Union, Norma Giocochea Estenoz at the Cuban Embassy in Belgium.
ACP also expressed the organization’s appreciation and support for the elimination of the U.S. blockade imposed on the island nation for more than 50 years.
