Personalities and Ministers to Attend Havana's Intl. Health Convention

Over 100 personalities and about 20 health ministers have confirmed their attendance to the International Health Convention that will take place in this capital on April 20-24.

In an exclusive interview with ACN, Dr. Iliana Morales, executive secretary of the meeting to be held at Havana's Convention Center, announced that so far delegations of Brazil, Guinea, South Africa, Angola and El Salvador, among other nations, have confirmed their participation.

The meeting will welcome over 1,000 delegates, 400 of them Cubans, and will bring together health experts, physicians, scientists and academicians to debate the most important topics calling the attention of world public health today, she emphasized.

In panels, round tables and symposia, participants will also debate about equal access to health care, world health coverage, innovation, research, generalization and transference of technologies, international cooperation and the training of human resources to develop health systems, she underlined.

On this occasion, the Convention coincides with the 13th edition of the Health for All International Fair, which will be held on the same date at the capital's PABEXPO Pavilion, and to which so far 103 national and foreign companies have already confirmed their participation.
