Cuban People Demand Return of Cuban Five
especiales
During a pilgrimage made at the Colón Cemetery to pay tribute to the victims of state terrorism against Cuba, attendees asked Washington to immediately released Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero and Ramón Labañino who were arrested by the American authorities in 1998 for preventing the violent actions against Cuba carried out by terrorist groups based in the U.S.
Rene González and Fernando González, also members of the group, returned to Cuba after fully serving their sentences.
The march led by René and Fernando served to remember the victims of the attack on the Cubana Airlines Flight 455 that crashed off the coast of Barbados on October 6, 1976 killing 73 people.
Several attendees told Prensa Latina commenting that while Gerardo, Ramón and Antonio, continue unjustly behind bars, Luis Posada Carriles, mastermind of the attack lives free in the US.
