Technical exchange held between Cuba’s Border Guard Troops and the U.S. Coast Guard Service

On January 22-23, 2018, the eighth technical exchange between representatives of Cuba’s Border Guard Troops and the U.S. Coast Guard Service was held in Florida, United States, with the objective of exchanging on ways to increase bilateral cooperation in the combat against irregular emigration and drug trafficking, and in search and rescue operations.

The meeting took place in an ambiance of respect and professionalism.

The delegations of both countries shared the view on the importance to advance cooperation in this area. Both parties agreed to continue with these technical meetings in the future.
