The Second Annual Meeting of the Houses of Peru-Cuba Friendship called to investigate covert actions of the US agency USAID against the Caribbean nation. The meeting declared that the Peruvian government should investigate these actions, revealed by a US news agency, which consist in recruiting and sending young Peruvians on a subversive mission to Cuba.

The statement calls for the expulsion of USAID, which has been expelled from countries like Bolivia and Ecuador for its interventionist activities, which violate the Peruvian Constitution and sovereignty, and infringe the self-determination of peoples.

It also asks the Minister of Education, Jaime Saavedra, to immediately separate his advisor, Felipe Valencia Dongo, who was one of the young people that was recruited and traveled to the island in a failed subversive mission.

Meanwhile, it condemns the campaign of the conservative press, of lies and hatred against Cuba, intensified when the aforementioned case was revealed.

On the other hand, the statement condemns Israel’s genocidal military action that has killed more than two thousand Palestinians and supports Venezuela in sight of the destabilizing actions of the United States and the extreme right.
