A group of 325 legislators of Cuba will check the implementation of the agreements approved in the eight Session of the 8th Legislature of the National Assembly of the People’s Power starting March 1-25.
The lawmakers will be aided by representatives of all provinces as well as the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC). The revision will cover all municipalities of the island, reported to Granma newspaper Armando Utrera, vice-president of the National Assembly.
Utrera pointed out that the goal is to verify the implementation of action plans ordered by the President of of the Council of States and Ministers Army General Raul Castro Ruz in his closing speech, as well as the reports presented by Lina Pedraza, minister of Finances and Prices, and Ricardo Cabrisas, minister of Economy and Planification.
Import substitution, savings, and efficient usage of resources, especially the energy carriers, the results of business management —focusing on food production— will be some of the specific aspects to be addressed by lawmakers.
The budget spending —including the efficiency of investments carried out— and the revision of income plans will be also in the agenda of legislators, as well as the behavior of tax payments of state-owned enterprises and private management.
Exchanges with president of assembly in municipalities, Chiefs of Administration —Artemisa and Mayabeque— and presidents of People’s Council are all included in the working days.
The result of such verification will be released on April to the president of the National Assembly of the People’s Power.
