We return to Fidel’s ideas again and again to find ourselves. It is essential; otherwise, moving forward seems unrealistic. Cuba knows it. Cubans know it. And millions of people worldwide have that certainty.

Since the passing away of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel multiplied, just as it was foreseen by a poster that defined him, years before his death, and perhaps unintentionally, it pointed out the path that only the haters in the US rejected.

With such a profound and firm multiplication, which has made every person feel very attached to Fidel, we could not have survived the very harsh years that came later.

Fidel has been present in every personal, family, group struggle, in the creative resistance called by the First Secretary of the CCPCC and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in the strength acquired after experiencing and sharing unexpected, painful events, as well as in the optimism and trust of a people committed to further building a fairer society before giant threats and challenges.

He has been, in fact, in the peoples of our region, which rise from the ashes like a Phoenix after blows to their democracy, their peace, surviving sanctions, media war, and attempts at internal destabilizations of all kind.

We must go hand in hand with Fidel as our guide, warning us, anticipating and even responding to us every time we ask ourselves what would he do in this or that circumstances.

And when everything seems more difficult, if for a moment, our strength seems to cede, each of us must be, as he taught us, our own Commander in Chief. There is no time for fatigue, we must make decisions and take up arms wherever needed for the common good with the certainty that united, we can move on, produce, and win.

And of course, it will always be essential to return to his ideas again and again.
