The United States carried out a lethal strike on Saturday against another speedboat in the Caribbean, allegedly linked to drug trafficking, an operation in which four people died, according to a statement posted on X by Southern Command (Southcom).

Forces of the Joint Task Force of the Western Hemisphere, under the direction of Southern Command, executed the strike against the vessel, which according to the press release "was operating in established drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean."

"Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel's active participation in drug trafficking," and the death of "four narcoterrorists," Southcom stated.

On September 10, the United States attacked another speedboat in the Atlantic Ocean that killed three other people, who were also labeled — as in other interventions and strikes — as narcoterrorists.

More than 200 people have died in strikes in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean, according to a count by the AFP news agency.

The Trump administration has not presented conclusive evidence that the vessels against which it has launched strikes are involved in drug trafficking.

According to human rights organizations, these actions could constitute extrajudicial executions.
