A new solidarity container has been sent from Spain to Cuba, destined for the hospital in Matanzas and the municipality of Marianao, Havana, those in charge of the matter reported today.

The shipment was prepared in Torrelavega, Cantabria, and will soon depart from the port of Bilbao in the Basque Country. It is organized by SODePAZ, with co-financing from the Matanzas Suiza, Medicuba España, La Gran Piedra Association, and the Hispanic-Cuban Friendship Association of Málaga.

According to SODePAZ, the donations were made by the Sierrallana Torrelavega Hospital, the Laredo Hospital, the Vallecas Republican Athenaeum, and a citizen collection drive in Santander.

The container is carrying 60 computers, 24 electric hospital beds, 27 mattresses, 237 boxes of medical supplies, two physical therapy stretchers, as well as IV drips, a centrifuge, a pathology anatomy sterilizer, rehabilitation equipment, and otorhinolaryngology and gynecology equipment, among other items.
