New Delhi, May 28 (Prensa Latina) India on Friday recorded 179,770 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, the lowest daily count in 44 days.
Despite the significant decline in contagions, 3,660 patients died due to complications related to the disease, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India accumulates 27,547,705 contagions and 318,895 deaths from this disease.
The recovery rate from the pandemic rose to 90.34 percent, according to health authorities.
The Indian Council for Medical Research pointed out that the country's laboratories so far made 339 million PCR tests in real-time to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.
