especiales
Pyongyang Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) The chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong-un, and South Korean President, Moon Jae-in, announced today a far-reaching agreement for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
The disclosure was made during a joint news conference where it was reported that Pyongyang determined to permanently dismantle its major nuclear facilities.
The presence of foreign experts during that process was also acepted.
It was not clear if the event will happen at the moment when the United States is adopting reciprocal measures, as demanded by North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.
However, the two Koreas agreed to turn the Korean Peninsula into what President Moon Jae-in called, a 'land of peace without nuclear weapons and nuclear threats.'
In correspondence with the good progress of the relationships between Pyongyang and Seoul, President Kim Jong-un announced on Wednesday that he will visit the capital of South Korea in a near future.
Then, the first visit in the history of a North Korean head of State to South Korea will take place.
Such perspective augurs the signature shortly in Pyongyang or elsewhere of a Declaration for Peace between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and South Korea.
